How to create a read-only key on OKX

Site IP to bind the key to: 185.186.142.35

  1. Sign in to okx.com → profile → “API”.
  2. “Create API key” → name and passphrase (invent and remember it — the site needs it).
  3. Permissions: “Read” only. Do not tick “Trade” or “Withdraw”.
  4. IP binding: paste the site IP (shown in your cabinet).
  5. Confirm with 2FA. Copy the API Key, Secret Key and the passphrase.
  6. Paste all three into your cabinet: “Connect exchange” → OKX.
TipIf the exchange screen shows ticks for “Trade”, “Withdraw” or “Transfer”, untick them. The site checks the permissions automatically and tells you if anything extra is left.
